Robert A. Winesett

Robert A. Winesett, “Bob”, was born in Plymouth, North Carolina, but has lived in Florida since he was 12 years old.  Bob left high school early in order to help support his parents and siblings at a difficult economic time.  The following year he entered the U.S. Army as a seventeen year old.  He earned his high school diploma, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland in 1976, a Master of Arts from Pepperdine University in 1979,  all while actively serving in the U.S. Army.   Upon finishing his army career, he earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 1982. While in law school he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Bob was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1983 and joined the firm to practice with his brother and sister in law in Fort Myers.

Bob’s special practice areas are Real Estate Law, Corporate Law, and Condominium Law and the general practice of non-criminal law.

Bob is married and has three grown children.  He is a active Kiwanian and served as President of the local Kiwanis for 2009.  He also received a special award for community service from the Lee County Bar Association in 2009.  Bob is also an active geneaologist with a special interest in his family name of Winesett, its origins, and the people who carry it.  He maintains a substantial website entitled “Winesett Circle” for providing the results of his research and contacts.
